Geek News Of The Day

Hey, folks! Welcome to another fun filled news day. We have a few items up for discussion today in the geek news of the day, so let’s get right into it and see what we have. There’s a bit of news covering a lot of TV items today, spinoff news and the like. Let’s take a look.

TV News

Supergirl Trailer Hits.

Looks like TVs getting a heavier dose of DC soon. They’ll be getting things started with Kara Zor-El (a.k.a. Supergirl). CBS released a first look trailer to get fans excited for the upcoming show that should be airing in November. We’ll finally get a chance to meet Supergirl and se how she attempts to make it in this world working hard and developing herself as a superhero. I’m sure the themes of finding one’s own identity will be explored as she attempts to step out of her cousin’s (Superman’s) shadow. It’ll be fun to see some old and new faces in this story. Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara/Supergirl and will air November 2015.

Limitless Trailer.

Remember a little movie called Limitless, starring Bradley Cooper? Well, they’re following up that movie with a series by the same name. The trailer just dropped today and it looks good. all the thrilling elements of the movie but packed into a series. Bradley Cooper will have a recurring role in the series as his character Eddie Morra, who is now a senator making moves to be the president. Both Cooper and Robert De Niro will be executive producers on the project. Limitless will center on Brian Finch (played by Jake McDorman) and his use of the NZT Drug given to him by Cooper. He will be using his abilities to aid the FBI in cases so there should be a lot of action in this one. Check out the trailer below. Limitless will air Tuesdays on CBS in the fall, so look for it.

Arrow’s Dave Ramsey Teases Mask For Next Season.

Looks like it’s finally happening. Even John Diggle has to become… SOMETHING ELSE! In a recent interview, David Ramsey (the actor that plays Diggle) answered some pretty meaty questions about his character and what’s going to be happening with him in the future of the arrow series. Ratchet & Clank Movie

So they’re making a movie to the popular game franchise, Ratchet & Clank. The gameplay felt much like Jak & Daxter but the fun of it was the gun upgrades. Looks like they have a pretty heavy cast for the flick as well. James Arnold Taylor and David Kaye are reprising their roles as the voices of Ratchet & Clank, respectively. Also, Armin Shimerman (Star Trek Deep Space Nine) is back as Nefarious and Jim Ward as Captain Qwark.

From Left to Right: Sylvester Stallone, John Goodman, Rosario Dawson, Bella Thorne and Paul Giamatti.

Story Description:

The games take place in a science fiction setting and follow the adventures of Ratchet (a feline-like character known as a Lombax, who is a mechanic) and Clank (a diminutive, sentient robot) as they travel through the universe, saving it from evil forces on a regular basis. The series is noted for its inclusion of many exotic, unique and over-the-top weapons and gadgets, a concept that Insomniac Games has also expanded into their other games.
