Big Fun & a Big Hit with Big Hero 6

1400548647000-1BIG-HERO-SNEAKPEEK-64332692Hey Folks, happy hump day to you all. Doing things a little different today simply because it’s been a while since we got a review up here. The past two weeks have been fun-filled with movie watching. I got a chance to watch Disney’s new animated flick and Marvel Studios’ first entry into big screen animation, Big Hero 6.

The story centers around tech prodigy Hiro Hamada, as he seeks to find out the reason behind his brother’s death. With the help of an inflatable robot his brother built, and a group of his friends, he forms a team of high-tech heroes to find justice for his brother.

ff_disney5_fOne of the best part of this film is that it still follows Marvel’s formula for a successful hero story, but is incredible fun every step of the way. With approachable characters and hilarious dialogue, Big Hero 6 has replay value and will definitely be quoted by kids all over (at least for the next few months anyway). Big Hero 6 captures all the magic and fun that Disney was able to create with the Incredibles, and, in Disney form, it still manages to hit you in the feels with the strength of Mr. Incredible himself.

“I gots the feels too, bro!”

The viewpoints of the short are going to vary at certain ages. Kids will probably follow the dog, while the more mature will see both the foreground and background. It definitely gets real, but by the end you’ll be hit with the warm and fuzzies.

big_hero_6_baymax_hiro_h_2014I’m definitely recommending this movie to you all. Doesn’t need to be viewed 3D, but Disney rarely fails making animated films in 3D. They always turn out incredibly stunning 3D films so you may want to consider it if you check it out. Next week is Thanksgiving, and that has always been a film watching Holiday for most. So, add Big Hero 6 to your agenda. Don’t forget, this is a Marvel film, so keep an eye out for that Stan Lee cameo and wait for the after credits scene.
