Geek News of the Day for 4/15 is here, people. Let’s dive in to the GNOD…

Finally A Trailer Tease For Batman V. Superman!

The good folks over at latino-review are reporting that a teaser of the trailer will be released on Thursday at 9AM. This, coincidentally, is right before the huge Star Wars: The Force Awakens panel. On the tease of the trailer, fans will be able to sign up to get the locations of where it will be playing on the 20th (Monday), but, if you can hold out, the trailer will also be released at the Avengers: Age of Ultron showing.

Black Panther’s Chadwick Boseman Talks Prep

Chadwick is being pretty tight-lipped about the production of Black Panther and whether or not he’ll be making an appearance in the up coming Age of Ultron or Civil War. The video below shows him answering questions as to his prep for the Role as well as rumors regarding Ernie Hudson playing his father, T’Chaka. I have some thoughts on his statement of pulling from history and science. History primarily, because I see a lot of similarities between T’Challa and Shaka Zulu, which I’m sure was a huge inspiration for the character. So I’d like to see what Chadwick brings to the table for the character. Watch the video of the interview below.

Who’s Your Daddy And What Does He Do?

Vulture recently caught up with Director James Gunn about Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and inquired about the development of the sequel. Gunn was eager to share a sample of what he is looking to explore for the sequel:

“There’s a lot of stuff I’m excited about in the new movie. Listen, I’m still excited about Star-Lord’s character and where he goes. At its heart, Guardians is a story about families, and if the first film was about him and his mother, this is a story about fathers. So it’s exciting to go there.”

It’ll be interesting to see where the film goes with this arc. Gunn’s already proven himself, so I’m game for whatever he puts down.

Wonder Woman News

With the Geek News of the Day that the director left the project, yesterday, more news has reached the desk here that our news on Scott Eastwood casting in Wonder Woman as Steve Trevor has been debunked. Apparently, according to CinemaBlend, WB is screening four actors for the role of Trevor. Wonder how they’re going to use Eastwood if he’s not Trevor. Things to think about.

Luke Cage & The Purple Man in Marvel’s “Jessica Jones”

Photos here! Managed to get a hold of some shots of Mike Coulter as Luke Cage and David Tenant as Zebediah Killgrave (The Purple Man). Check out Jeph Loeb’s (Marvel Netfix Producer) statement, via Comic Book Resources, below as to the direction of each of the Netflix original series.

“Well, the philosophy — we didn’t have to look very far. Down the hall, there’s this movie studio called Marvel Studios, which is separate from us but really gave us the inspiration for what it was. Because when you look at Iron Man and Hulk and Thor and Captain America — those are very different kinds of movies, and yet they all feel very Marvel. It enabled you to meet the characters on their own, have that kind of history, that mythology in your life, and also fall in love with each one of those characters. And then, put them together into the Avengers.

So this is the same kind of idea: “Daredevil,” “Jessica Jones,” “Luke Cage,” “Iron Fist” will all feel like they’re of a same piece, but at the same token, they’re very different stories, very different heroes, very different approaches as to what it is they’re going to be doing.”

That’s it for the Geek News of the Day for today, folks. We’ll get you updates to the news as we receive it.
